When I used to watch news channels for the first time, they used to have good reports with no nonsense. It was always good to watch and get updated on what was going on. These days, I'm totally not sure whether I should watch or just skip channels after watching the bottom news which scrolls.
I'm not interested in watching debates which are about tragic incidents (not anymore) on those channels when all they do is just talk and take no action. It makes things worse for the victims and their relatives who are always reminded forcefully of the actual ordeal. Some of them are also "invited" to attend the debate.
Do you like any news channel these days? I think I lost interest after I saw a reporter showing a badly wounded man who was a blast victim on the ground. For more than 10 minutes. Hey can't we rise above these telecasts and close the camera to get a victim to a nearby hospital?

That is a great way to stay up to date I suppose. Many sources covered in a little time. You used to watch news channels before then? Or has it always been only the net?

Previously it was newspapers and now its internet. I watch movies in it (DVD Player) but not the TV channels.

i like bbc, but as far as indian news channels are concerned, many channels are addding up some entertainment or spicy news(even sometimes faking up news) to get some trp ratings.Even for me its been ages watching news in a news channel, so i get in touch with the latest thru yahoo.

They want to make money and they are interested in getting a lot of stories and reports for that. They show more on what people want to see than reporting what is going on.

Each Friday night after work,
Sardar ji would fire up his outdoor grill and cook a tandoori chicken and some meat kebabs.
But, all of his neighbors were strict Catholics ...
And since it was Lent, they were forbidden from eating chicken and meat on a Friday.
The aroma from the grilled meats was causing such a problem for the Catholic faithful that they finally talked to their Priest.
The Priest came to visit Sardar ji and suggested that he become a Catholic.
After several classes and much study,Sardar ji attended Mass...
And as the priest sprinkled holy water over him and said,
You were born a Sikh, and raised as a Sikh, but from now, you are a Catholic."
Sardar ji's neighbors were greatly relieved, until Friday night arrived.
The wonderful aroma of tandoori chicken and meat kebabs again filled the neighborhood.
The Priest was called immediately by the neighbors and as he rushed into Sardar ji's backyard,
clutching a rosary and prepared to scold him,he stopped and watched in amazement.
There stood Sardar ji,
holding a small bottle of holy water
which he carefully sprinkled over the grilling meats
and chanted:
"Oye, you were born a chicken, and you were born a lamb, you were raised as a chicken and you were raised as a lamb but now onwards you are a potato and you are a tomato...."

It has always existed between players, but few times it gets highlighted by media as this one. In the end all that matters is the RESULT.
Don't you think the same thing goes on among team members but still people come up and work as a team to give an end result??
